Position Description
SUMMARY: JOB DESCRIPTION FOR GENERAL REPACK LIGHT DUTY WORKER

GENERAL FUNCTION: To supply labor of a light duty nature in the essential functions of the everyday operation of Repack.

SUPERVISED BY: Repack Manager, Repack Supervisor, Repack Lead, Inspection Room Lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Visually inspect frozen product on a moving shaker table and manually remove foreign material and defects from the moving product.
2. Manually re-check weights in bulk cased products and adjust them by adding/removing product and returning case to line.
3. Manually fold and/or tuck poly bag(s)/ liners on bulk/poly cased product after auto filling.
4. Manually form cases and/or insert poly liners prior to auto filling.
5. Break up cased product into totes for re-use.
6. Apply stickers and/or stamps to cases prior to auto filling.

MARGINAL DUTIES:

1. Complies with and helps implement plant Safety Program.
2. Complies with and helps implement Food Safety Program, which ensures that our products meet customer specifications, and are safe, legal and wholesome.
3. Does other work as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: No prior experience or training is required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to understand simple verbal instructions is required.

REASONING ABILITY: Individual must have ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out one or two step instructions. Individual must have ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be agile with hands, able to move around machinery.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or cold conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Protective head gear (bump cap), hair net, and company approved hearing protection are required on this job. Aprons, sleeve guards, and various types of gloves are also required for many tasks.

Employees must rinse hands in a sanitary hand dip each time they report to the job station.

Personal cleanliness is required.

Various Shifts available. $10.25/hr plus $0.25 swing/$0.50 grave shift differential.
